CLIENT TYPE Flex Operator SIZE 6,000 sq/ft LOCATION SCOPE Furniture Consultancy Furniture Procurement CHALLENGE Refurbishing a co-working space When BE Offices decided to refurbish their co-working space in Aldgate, the goal was to create a workspace that felt welcoming, comfortable and aligned with the expectations of modern flexible office users. OUR APPROACH Loose, fitted and bespoke furniture Fluid worked alongside design and build partner Zentura and architects Tilt Studio to deliver both the loose and fitted furniture packages for the project. A variety of furniture settings were introduced throughout the space to support different styles of working and interaction. Soft breakout seating was installed in the coffee bar area, creating a relaxed social hub where members can meet, work informally or take a break during the day. High-quality co-working tables and chairs were also introduced across the workspace to support individual work, collaboration and informal meetings. To complete the space, bespoke elements including a custom reception desk and coffee bar were designed and supplied. These features help establish a welcoming first impression for visitors while reinforcing the modern aesthetic of the workspace. As part of the commercial offering, the property developer wanted to provide future occupiers with access to private meeting and focus spaces while maintaining the flexibility of the floorplates and avoiding the cost and permanence associated with traditional construction. OUR APPROACH Enclosed meeting pods Fluid was appointed to provide furniture consultancy and procurement services, developing a solution centred around enclosed meeting pods that could deliver private environments without building permanent meeting rooms. The pods were carefully integrated throughout the commercial space to provide a variety of environments for meetings, focused work and confidential conversations, enhancing the functionality and attractiveness of the building for prospective tenants. THE RESULT Flexible floorplates for future tenants By using freestanding meeting pods rather than traditional construction methods, the development benefits from greater flexibility, allowing spaces to adapt as occupier requirements evolve over time. The completed solution creates a more appealing commercial environment that supports modern ways of working while providing landlords and future tenants with greater flexibility and significantly reduced disruption compared with permanent construction.
