Fluid worked alongside design and build partner Zentura to furnish Alteryx’s new London headquarters near Silicon Roundabout. The project transformed a 24,000 sq ft workspace across four floors into a distinctive office designed to attract talent, support collaboration and create an impressive environment for clients and visiting international teams. The result is a workplace that combines flexible collaboration spaces with memorable design features that reflect both the Alteryx brand and the character of London. Designing a London HQ that combines collaboration and brand experience Alteryx had outgrown their previous workspace and expanded their office footprint by acquiring two additional floors within their building off City Road in London’s technology district. The company wanted their new headquarters to serve multiple purposes. It needed to be a collaborative workspace for their London team, a hub for international colleagues visiting the UK and a showcase environment where clients could experience the Alteryx brand. Working alongside Zentura, Fluid specified and delivered the furniture package for the project, including a number of bespoke furniture elements designed to support the creative concept. Open-plan office desking and seating were introduced across the workspace to encourage collaboration between teams. Training and meeting furniture was also installed to support knowledge sharing sessions and group discussions. Breakout and collaboration furniture was introduced throughout the office to create informal meeting areas where employees can interact and exchange ideas. Meeting booths and phone booths were also installed to provide quiet environments for calls and focused work within the open-plan office. One of the most distinctive features of the workspace is its strong London theme. A replica Northern Line Underground carriage meeting room was created with the help of a specialist design company, constructed using timber stud and plasterboard and finished with authentic components sourced from decommissioned tube carriages. Visitors are welcomed by a striking Corian reception desk accompanied by a London Underground style sign featuring the Alteryx name. Traditional red London phone boxes were also repurposed as functional phone booths, with one cleverly designed as a hidden entrance leading to the breakout space. These elements create a memorable environment that reflects the local culture while reinforcing the Alteryx brand. Hush acoustic meeting pods were also introduced to provide spaces for video meetings and confidential conversations without disruption from the surrounding office. As the workspace spans four floors, maintaining connection between teams was a key consideration. A central breakout and tea point area was designed as a shared hub where employees can gather, collaborate and recharge throughout the day. The completed headquarters now provides Alteryx with a vibrant London workspace that strengthens company culture, supports collaboration and creates a memorable experience for both employees and visiting clients. Royal College of Nursing RCN lacked meeting spaces within their Grade II listed building at 20 Cavendish Square, London and the cost to build meeting rooms was prohibitive, as well as requiring numerous permissions. We supplied a mixture of freestanding office pods on both a rental and procurement basis to suit their requirements and provide flexible spaces for their teams to meet, focus and take private calls. At its headquarters at 20 Cavendish Square in London, RCN required additional meeting and private working spaces within its Grade II listed building. Traditional construction methods proved prohibitively expensive and would have required numerous permissions and approvals. Fluid introduced a combination of freestanding office pods on both a rental and procurement basis, providing flexible environments for meetings, focused work and confidential calls without the disruption or complexity of permanent building works. The result is a more adaptable workplace that supports a variety of working styles while preserving the flexibility of the existing building. Delivered additional meeting and focus spaces within a Grade II listed building without the cost or complexity of traditional construction The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) required additional meeting and private working spaces within its headquarters at 20 Cavendish Square in London. As the building is Grade II listed, traditional construction methods presented significant challenges. Building new meeting rooms would have involved considerable cost, lengthy programmes and multiple permissions and approvals, making permanent alterations an impractical solution. To overcome these challenges, Fluid proposed a combination of freestanding office pods provided through both rental and procurement models, allowing RCN to introduce enclosed spaces quickly while maintaining flexibility for the future. The pods created a variety of environments to support meetings, focused work and confidential telephone conversations, helping employees access private spaces without compromising the openness of the wider workplace. By avoiding permanent construction, RCN was able to increase the functionality of its workplace while preserving the integrity of the existing building and retaining the ability to adapt the layout as requirements evolve. The completed solution demonstrates how flexible workspace products can help organisations overcome complex building constraints while creating practical environments that better support the needs of modern teams. Fluid worked closely with Blinkhorns during the refurbishment of their 7,000 sq ft workspace, delivering a furniture consultancy and procurement package designed to improve both the employee experience and the environment for meeting clients. The result is a modern office that introduces improved meeting environments, informal collaboration areas and a welcoming reception space that creates a strong first impression for visitors. Creating meeting spaces and informal collaboration spaces Fluid worked closely with Blinkhorns to develop a furniture strategy that would support both day-to-day work and client interaction throughout the office. A full furniture consultancy and procurement package was delivered, including both loose and fitted furniture across the workspace. Meeting rooms were fitted with new furniture designed to provide comfortable and professional environments for discussions with clients and colleagues. Particular attention was given to cable management to ensure meeting spaces remain organised and practical for modern working requirements. Breakout areas were introduced to create informal spaces where employees can collaborate or hold smaller meetings away from their desks. These areas include fitted booth seating designed to support relaxed conversations and team discussions. Café-style seating was also introduced within the kitchen space, giving staff a comfortable area for informal meetings and everyday interaction. The reception area was upgraded with high-quality seating and a new reception desk designed to create a welcoming first impression for visitors and clients. All furniture was procured, delivered and installed as part of the wider project programme, ensuring a smooth and coordinated delivery process.
