CLIENT TYPE Occupier SIZE 3,500 sq/ft LOCATION SCOPE Furniture Consultancy Furniture Procurement CHALLENGE Room for future growth One of the key strategic drivers behind ASL International’s relocation was the opportunity to create a modern workspace that could support the company’s future growth. By adopting a more agile approach to workspace design, the new office allows ASL to reduce the footprint of individual workstations while increasing the capacity of the overall office compared to their previous workspace. OUR APPROACH A bold, agile furniture scheme Fluid worked closely with the ASL management team and the Zentura design team to specify the complete loose furniture package for the new office. A key objective was to move away from the traditional “accountants” office aesthetic and introduce a more vibrant and engaging workspace. Furniture was therefore selected using a bold colour palette that aligned with the overall interior design scheme. Bench workstations and high specification task seating were installed across the open-plan office area to support day to day work. In the individual offices, system desking was introduced to maximise available storage while maintaining a clean and professional workspace layout. Meeting spaces were designed with comfort and style in mind, creating welcoming environments for conversations with clients and colleagues. A breakout area was also introduced featuring collaborative benches and stools, giving employees a space to meet, interact and work away from their desks. THE RESULT Delivered ahead of schedule Delivering the project within the required programme presented additional challenges when COVID-19 lockdown restrictions began to impact manufacturing lead times. Through careful planning and coordination by the operations team, all critical furniture was delivered and installed ahead of schedule, allowing ASL to move into the new office on time and without disruption. CLIENT TYPE Occupier SIZE 9,000 sq/ft LOCATION SCOPE Furniture Consultancy Furniture Procurement CHALLENGE Three floors into two Red Consultancy’s London office is located within a renovated boxing gym in the heart of Soho. The company wanted to refresh the workspace to better support collaboration while also encouraging their teams to return to the office. At the same time, the redesign needed to consolidate the office footprint from three floors to two without compromising the quality of the workplace environment. OUR APPROACH Reuse where possible, new where needed Working alongside Zentura, Fluid delivered the furniture consultancy and procurement package for the project. To maximise the available budget, many of the existing furniture pieces were retained and integrated into the new design wherever possible. Additional breakout furniture and collaboration tables were introduced to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere throughout the office. The redesigned workspace focuses on providing a variety of areas for both collaboration and informal interaction, encouraging employees to move around the office rather than remain in one place throughout the day. One of the most distinctive features of the office is the staff lounge and bar area. This vibrant space combines comfortable furniture with an abundance of biophilia to create a relaxing environment within the busy workplace. THE RESULT A social hub in Soho The lounge has quickly become a social hub for the team, supporting informal meetings, collaboration and everyday interactions between colleagues. The completed office now provides Red Consultancy with a welcoming and flexible workspace that supports collaboration while making better use of their office footprint.
