Fluid worked alongside design and build partner Zentura to source, supply and install the complete furniture package for ASL International’s new London headquarters. The new 3,500 sq ft workspace supports the company’s future growth plans while introducing a more agile way of working that increases office capacity without expanding the overall footprint. Creating a modern workspace designed for growth One of the key strategic drivers behind ASL International’s relocation was the opportunity to create a modern workspace that could support the company’s future growth. By adopting a more agile approach to workspace design, the new office allows ASL to reduce the footprint of individual workstations while increasing the capacity of the overall office compared to their previous workspace. Fluid worked closely with the ASL management team and the Zentura design team to specify the complete loose furniture package for the new office. A key objective was to move away from the traditional “accountants” office aesthetic and introduce a more vibrant and engaging workspace. Furniture was therefore selected using a bold colour palette that aligned with the overall interior design scheme. Bench workstations and high specification task seating were installed across the open-plan office area to support day to day work. In the individual offices, system desking was introduced to maximise available storage while maintaining a clean and professional workspace layout. Meeting spaces were designed with comfort and style in mind, creating welcoming environments for conversations with clients and colleagues. A breakout area was also introduced featuring collaborative benches and stools, giving employees a space to meet, interact and work away from their desks. Delivering the project within the required programme presented additional challenges when COVID-19 lockdown restrictions began to impact manufacturing lead times. Through careful planning and coordination by the operations team, all critical furniture was delivered and installed ahead of schedule, allowing ASL to move into the new office on time and without disruption. Campbell Lutyens Fluid’s furniture rental approach allowed Campbell Lutyens to redesign their Mayfair office, support future growth and avoid the cost and disruption of a full refurbishment despite a short remaining lease. Fluid worked alongside design and fit-out partner Zentura to deliver a flexible furniture solution for Campbell Lutyens’ refurbished Mayfair office. Using the FluidSpace Flex furniture rental scheme, the project allowed the company to transform their workspace without committing to a full refurbishment despite having less than two years remaining on their lease. The result is a 10,000 sq ft office that supports collaboration, staff growth and hybrid working while avoiding unnecessary capital expenditure. Creating a flexible office without long-term commitment Hybrid working had changed how Campbell Lutyens’ Mayfair office was being used. Continued company growth had led to overcrowding, and the workspace no longer reflected the collaborative and dynamic culture of the organisation. A redesign was required to enable better collaboration and allow room for future expansion. However, with the lease on the building set to expire in less than two years, a full refurbishment was not considered a viable option. Fluid worked with design and fit-out partner Zentura to analyse how the workspace could be redesigned to support Campbell Lutyens’ long term objectives while avoiding significant capital investment. The final design introduced an open-plan layout that encourages collaboration while incorporating office pods and booths to provide quieter areas for focused work. The addition of space on the fourth floor enabled a more spacious workplace layout and allowed the office to accommodate continued staff growth. A furniture led approach reduced the need for disruptive construction work while significantly increasing the flexibility of the workspace. This project also became one of the early implementations of Fluid’s FluidSpace Flex furniture rental scheme, allowing Campbell Lutyens to trial different workplace solutions without committing to large upfront costs. To minimise disruption during the transition, the furniture installation was completed in two phases. The fourth floor was fitted out first, followed by the second floor. This phased approach ensured all Campbell Lutyens staff were able to continue working throughout the project. The renovated workspace now supports collaboration, staff wellbeing and future growth while providing a more engaging and functional environment for employees. When the company relocated to its new London headquarters in Holborn, Fluid delivered a complete furniture consultancy and procurement package to transform an empty CAT A space into a fully functional and collaborative workplace. The 9,700 sq ft office introduces flexible work environments and shared gathering spaces designed to support collaboration, communication and team interaction. Turning blank workspace into a collaborative office Gett’s new office presented a blank canvas. The empty CAT A floor provided an opportunity to design a workspace that fully reflected the company’s culture and working style. Working alongside the Zentura design team, Fluid specified and delivered the complete furniture package for the office. Open-plan bench desking and task chairs were installed across the workspace alongside personal storage and lockers, creating a practical and organised working environment for employees. Meeting rooms were furnished with modern tables and seating designed to create bright and welcoming spaces for team discussions and client meetings. In the breakout area, a variety of furniture settings were introduced to give employees a choice of working environments throughout the day. One of the most distinctive features of the workspace is the bespoke bleacher seating area. This flexible environment was designed to host town hall meetings, company updates and team presentations. The bleacher seating also acts as an informal gathering space where employees can step away from their desks, relax or connect with colleagues. All furniture was delivered and installed in line with the overall project programme, ensuring Gett could move into their new headquarters on schedule. The pods were carefully integrated throughout the commercial space to provide a variety of environments for meetings, focused work and confidential conversations, enhancing the functionality and attractiveness of the building for prospective tenants. By using freestanding meeting pods rather than traditional construction methods, the development benefits from greater flexibility, allowing spaces to adapt as occupier requirements evolve over time. Following the successful delivery of their London office, Fluid was appointed to furnish Frontier Economics’ new Dublin workspace. The project delivered a 5,300 sq ft office designed to support collaboration, focused work and accessibility, while reducing costs and waste by repurposing furniture from their previous workspace wherever possible. Creating a flexible workplace while reusing existing furniture After occupying their previous office since 2011, Frontier Economics had outgrown the space and chose to relocate to a new office in the heart of Dublin’s central business district. The new workspace needed to reflect the firm’s professional yet dynamic culture while supporting a variety of working styles. The design also needed to meet accessibility requirements and incorporate sustainable practices by repurposing furniture from the previous office where possible. One of the key features of the project was the introduction of Hush meeting pods within the open-plan workspace. The curved design of the pods aligned with the client’s aesthetic preferences, while their soundproof construction created private areas for calls and meetings without requiring permanent structural changes. The pods were installed in a range of sizes to support different meeting formats. Fluid also worked closely with the client’s AV provider to ensure the pods could be equipped with appropriate technology for video conferencing and integrated with the company’s room booking system. An accessible version of the pod was also included to ensure the office met disability accessibility requirements. These meeting pods provide quiet spaces for focused work within the open environment while helping Frontier Economics minimise build costs and reduce potential dilapidation costs if they relocate in the future. Flexibility was a key principle throughout the workspace design. Collaboration tables at varying heights were introduced to support different working preferences, allowing employees to choose environments that suit their individual tasks. A wide range of collaboration furniture was installed across the office, including high and low collaboration tables that provide different spaces for teamwork and discussion. Zoning furniture was strategically placed throughout the open-plan layout to help define areas for collaboration and focused work. Lockers were also introduced to reduce personal storage at desks and support a more flexible workspace environment. Sustainability played a central role in the project. Furniture from Frontier Economics’ previous office was relocated and repurposed wherever possible, with several pieces reupholstered to integrate into the new design scheme. This approach reduced unnecessary waste while providing a cost effective solution for the client. Feedback from Frontier Economics has been extremely positive. Their team has highlighted the improved functionality of the workspace and the overall quality of the environment. The Hush meeting pods have been particularly well received, with staff noting their value in supporting focused work and productive meetings within the open plan office. This project also demonstrates Fluid’s ability to support organisations operating across multiple countries. By acting as a single-source supplier, Fluid ensured consistency in delivery, quality and brand alignment across Frontier Economics’ international offices.
